Repeat Prescriptions

bluepillsFor patients on regular medication which your doctor is happy to repeat without seeing you every time. Orders can be placed in the following ways:

  • Online – via Patient Access follow the link at the top of this page. You must have previously obtained the necessary access codes. Please ask at reception for details.
If you are using Android or iOS tablets and mobiles you will need to download the Patient Access app found at the bottom left corner of the sign-in page on the Patient Access website. Note that you don't have to nominate a pharmacy - instead you can simply click not now to complete your order.
  • By telephone - please phone 01433 621557 AFTER 10:30am
  • In person/post – tick the required items on your repeat slip and forward it to the surgery.

To help us and avoid unnecessary trips to the surgery, please allow at least 3 full working days for dispensary to process your repeat prescriptions. For example, if you order on Monday afternoon, your prescription will be ready on Thursday afternoon.  If you order on a Friday afternoon it will be ready on Wednesday afternoon. Remember to take weekends and Bank Holidays into account, i.e. if you order on a Saturday or Sunday before a Bank Holiday Monday, you can collect on a Thursday.

If, for any reason, you need your medication urgently ring the surgery on 01433 621557 and explain your need. If the Hope surgery is not open, then please listen to the out-of-hours message and telephone the number given.

Hope Dispensary

The dispensary is open for the collection of prescriptions during the Hope Surgery opening times. The dispensary hatch may be closed when our dispensary staff have quiet time to concentrate on the repeat dispensing. During these times you can pick up prescriptions from our front desk. If you are unable to collect your prescription and you have nobody to collect it for you, then please register for our weekly delivery service.

If you live within a mile of the Hathersage Chemist “as the crow flies” you can either collect a signed prescription from the Evelyn Medical Centre or request that the prescription be sent to the Hathersage Chemist for collection there.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
